Explain this to the Missus

Another three for the price of one Woftam story … priceless!
We were heading back to our ambulance depot one afternoon and as we crossed over the freeway, we noticed a man lying in tall grass on the side of the road. Puzzled as to why he was laying there, we pulled over onto verge, parking behind a car with a trailer attached. We were greeted at the scene by two men who explained that their friend was hurt.
When we asked what had happened, one of the friends explained that they had had a few beers after work and were heading home when they had car trouble. The car stopped and wasn’t able to be restarted.
Being smart thinking dudes, they decided they would get behind the car and push start it down the hill. Unfortunately for the victim, they didn’t detach the trailer first so when the car started moving and began to gain momentum, it lurched forward quickly. The victim was unable to get out of the way of the attached trailer and was run over by it, breaking his leg. The other man pushing was able to jump clear in time and was uninjured. The car and trailer were undamaged.
