A Pie in the Face

There’s nothing like a family get-together to bring on a fight. This brother and sister team earn a Woftam nomination for bringing the game of pie fighting into disrepute.
The 26 year old brother and 23 year old sister began to argue during the afternoon of Thanksgiving Day. The brother, who was heating a piece of pecan pie in the microwave during the argument, threatened to throw the pie at his sister. Despite attempts by their mother to bring some sense of calm to the household, the brother removed the pie from the microwave and pushed it into his sister’s face. She sustained first and second degree burns to her face and neck and required medical treatment. Her brother was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. He faces a possible jail term.
