A 32 year old man has signed a contract to avoid being beaten by his wife more than once a week.

The Chongqing Evening News reports that the man and his wife, a kung fu master, have argued throughout their relationship leaving the man with “bruises and scars all over” when the wife becomes physically violent. He says that “he never wants to lose an argument” so he inevitably comes off worse for the battle.

The man admits that he knew about his wife’s kung fu abilities and wild temper whilst they were still dating. “Before we got married, she had a wild hairstyle and I teased that it made her look like a tigress. During the argument that followed, I said some bad words and I got a taste of her kung fu for the first time.” He says that he was attracted to her “strong and independent temperament”.
