A 37 year old woman has crashed her car while shaving her bikini area. Whilst driving to a meeting with her boyfriend, the woman decided that she wanted to be ‘ready for the visit’. With her ex-husband in the passenger seat, she asked him to take the wheel and steer, while she used a razor to trim her bikini line. Unfortunately, he wasn’t concentrating on steering and with a speed of abouth 45 mph they crashed into the rear of a pickup waiting to make a turn. Two passengers in the pickup were treated for minor injuries. The woman and her ex-husband didn’t stop after the crash. They continued on another half a mile, stopped and switched seats, her ex-husband claiming he was driving at the time. The whole story unravelled when the ex was unable to explain how he had sustained airbag burns to his chest when only the passenger-side airbag had deployed … doh!
It wasn’t the woman’s first run in with the law … only the day before the crash, she’d been convicted of DUI with a prior and driving with a suspended license. She was sentenced to nine month’s probation, had her driver’s license revoked for five years and was ordered to surrender her car for impound. After five years, she would have a Breathalyzer ignotion interlock device fitted to any vehicle she drives.
For the current crash, she was charged with driving with a revoked license, reckless driving, leaving the scene of a wreck with injuries and driving with no insurance. She faces a maximum of a year in jail if found guilty of violating her probation. Her ex-husband wasn’t charged.
