When the unidentified victim asked a female patron to stop talking, the woman and her two companions left the theatre. Two men returned shortly after and stabbed the victim with the meat thermometer. Two other patrons suffered minor injuries in the attack on 27th February.

The victim was seriously injured and was left in a coma. He is expected to recover but current details of his condition are not known.

A man was charged with one count of attempted murder, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon and one count of a felon being in possession of a firearm, after an anonymous tip off this week. A second suspect has not been arrested despite being caught on surveillance video.  

If found guilty, the attacker faces life in prison.
