This 34 year-old female nominee was visiting friends when she found a locked pool gate. After waiting for someone to open it, she decided she could get in quicker if she went over the fence. In her attempt to jump the fence she slipped and impaled herself in the groin, the fence post coming out through her stomach.

When the fire brigade arrived, the woman was hanging on the fence, whilst being supported by another person and standing on a box to relieve the weight. She was unable to be moved in case of bleeding and no pain relief was available until the ambulance arrived. Unfortunately for her, paramedics did not arrive on scene for 47 minutes.

The woman, who was lucky enough to miss vital organs, was discharged from hospital and apart from being a Woftam, is expected to make a full recovery.
