It’s true, there’s a Village Idiot award … we love it!
A woman whose hair caught fire when her hairspray-coated follicles ignited as she lit a cigarette has won the award for “Village Idiot”.
The woman, who was driving to work in February 2010, lit up a cigarette and accidentally ignited her hairspray covered hair. She was able to pat her hair down, putting out any fire.
A restaurant and bar in Bloomington presents the Village Idiot award every April to the person getting the most votes from regular customers. The winner, a barmaid, at the premises, won a $100 bar tab and the honorary title of Village Idiot.
